Hello! I’m a writer and editor for hire.

My name is Jochan Embley and I’m a journalist with more than a decade’s experience of writing, editing and commissioning for international publications including the Independent, the Guardian, the London Evening Standard and the i newspaper, the Line of Best Fit, and elsewhere.

From profiling some of the world’s biggest artists and reviewing must-see gigs, to reporting on the latest trends with in-depth news features, my work has delved into music, film, TV, comedy, art, theatre and beyond.

I’ve written across many mediums, from print newspapers and magazines to online articles and YouTube scripts. I’ve also guested on podcasts, hosted online broadcasts and contributed to live radio.
